INTEGRATED COUNSELLING

Hypnotherapist

'Counselling and psychotherapy are umbrella terms that cover a range of talking therapies. They are delivered by trained practitioners who work with people over a short or long term to help them bring about effective change or enhance their wellbeing.’

There are many different forms of counselling e.g. Client Centred, Psychodynamic (also known as Freudian), and Gestalt Therapy to name a few.  Integrative counselling uses a mix of different methods of counselling in order to match each client's individual needs. When it comes to people, one size does not fit all.

Many people think that talking about their problems does not make them go away.  In fact, people find that once they start talking, they are able to make sense of why they are feeling the way they do.  Talking to someone else also helps people to come up with solutions and ideas how of they can change or accept things.

Dealing with problems on our own can make us feel lonely and isolated. Talking to someone who will listen without judgement will alleviate this.

If you turn a worry around in your head it can make it worse and worse. Talking about it can help you work it out and give your thoughts a change in direction. It can help you to figure out where negative feelings have come from and can help you to explore thoughts and feelings and how they affect your behaviour.
